I bought these plates for my truck on eBay last July 2012. My plan was to try and restore them myself, but I lost interest in doing that kind of project. They are somewhat worse for the wear, but definitely could be restored or even used as is. They are DMV clear last I checked in July 2012, but you can confirm that by calling the DMV at 916-657-8035. They can be used on any 1963-72 commercially registered vehicle with the appropriate validation sticker for your year vehicle. The stickers are readily obtainable on eBay and license plate specialty companies.
