Newb Needs lift advice...

Hey folks,

I've picked up an '82 Chevy C20 and I am in the process of getting it "back in shape". It's sitting stock right now, and I would like to get some bigger tires on it, and get a fair sized lift on the truck. I'm thinking 2"-3". Not looking to turn it into a mud truck as it is only 2wd. But I am 6'5" and enjoy the added height lol.
I've read some negative things on just doing a body lift, as it puts extra stress on the tub bolts. Don't want to cause myself trouble in the future, but the price tag of a body lift is a lot nicer looking than a suspension lift. I do want a functional work truck as well as just looks and height.

This is my first truck to rebuild, and advice from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
