1948 panel project 15 years in the making
Ok so here we go ill clean this first post up a bit after I load some Picts but basically the long story short got the truck when I was 15 worked on it here and there went to a few body shops nothing got done sat then sat some more life happens got married had a son and well hit the big 30 haha all while the truck sat next to my parents house. I figured enough was enough and after the last body shop leaving the body sit at the sandblasters it was time to take matters into my own hands. A friend of mine and i picked it up in early November and with his help in my parents garage a few hrs here and there this is where its at
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That's at the blasters the last pict shows a huge dent that was somehow magically put there. You can also see rust from the damn body shop guy leaving it sit there Posted via Mobile Device Then after getting it home i built a little shelter to keep the dust in 1 spot and some heat in over the winter as well as putting and acid etch on to take care of the surface rust ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next we sanded the etch down and shot some primer and hung doors to see how things look after sitting for so long. The one positive thing was over the years I did get a chance to ger 3 of the 4 doors bodywork done and in primer ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Next was time to start on the cowl ![]() ![]() Last edited by stodd16; 01-16-2013 at 06:35 PM. |
