Lets talk mild brake upgrade

72 C20. Originally a Big Block truck.
power brakes
front disc
rear drum

Lets say I want to replace all the brake parts.
calipers X 2 $28ea
Rotors x 2 $86ea
pads (comes with calipers)
front and rear hoses $40
shoes $56
drums x 2 $65ea
wheels cylinders x2 $20ea
master cylinder $30
brake booster $73
splitter/proportioner?

Prices are just quick grabs from rock auto. comes to about $560

what would you do to go a step or 2 over stock or is it even worth it?
Rear disc conversion looks like a big deal with fabrication etc. not ready for that.
Not looking for 5 piston nascar stuff but i figure if I'm going to yank it all out anyway I might as well do something a little nicer.
any ideas?
