I have heard that the housing are the same, it is the hubs, backing plates, and axles are different. Not sure if that is true or if it applies to the 70. I think you might be right about the bed, maybe I'm thinking the other way around, adding fenders to a regular bed to make a dually.
The fr D60 stays and you switch just the fr wheel hubs, everything else gets used the D70 has to be swapped for the 14blt as stated, I have never heard anyone using a D70 for SRW unless modified.
