bigger clutch

I have a manual 4 speed transmission in my '72 4x4 swb, with a chevy 350 motor. I've gone through two clutches in this truck and am about to replace a third one. My question is can I install a bigger clutch, and if I did, will it wear longer than the standard 10" clutch?
