LSX376/T56 Magnum First Restomod Build

Have been on the site for a little bit and been learning a lot from everyone. I bought a 1968 SWB a little over a year and finally getting around to doing something. I had been gathering parts and researching what I wanted to do on my build.

This originally started as what was going be an all original build with a mild 350 motor but I got to looking at other builds on here and started getting "bad" ideas!! Now instead of a mild built 350 and original truck I have decided that I am going to be putting a 6.2 LSX376 motor mated to a T56 Magnum 6 speed transmission. It will run a original 12 bolt reared with 3.73 gears. I wanted the 6 speed just to give me that double overdrive so I can get some what decent MPG's when going down the highway.

Anyways enough talking. Hope you all will enjoy this as much as I have! I am starting the thread a little late and have already made some progress on the truck.

These are when I first got it home and started tearing it apart. Also just a picture of my shop where most of this will be taking place. You can see the bed off to the side of the shop. Not sure why I didn't have any of the truck all together :/
