The Possum build

Well let's see..... searched for about 6 months and finally found a good rust free body and ran like a top. 1972 CST original ochre now red. It ran when I bought it but the steering was SCARY!!!!! So I decided to trailer it back home to Memphis.

Got it home and it would not start, timing had jumped out.

Started the strip down. Seems like the previous owner had an aversion to screws, he would take 8 out and put 3 back in, bonus, makes it a lot easier to take it apart.

As far as rust...... found a spot about the size of a baseball at the bottom of each kick panel. I can hear the angels singing NONE anywhere else.

Plans for the Build

New Motor 420 HP 490ft/lbs 350 SBC
700r4 trans
rebuild front Performance Suspension kit
disc brake rear?
373 gear
33x12.50 tires
4 inch suspension lift
shave tailgate
shave rear hatch
vintage air a/c
