Wheel decisions/Convert to 5-lug?
I have a 2002 GMC Sierra XCSB I picked up about 3 weeks ago, but it has the stock steel chrome 16" wheels on it. Not bad looking really but.....
I also has a set of ROH Snyper wheels, 17"x9" front & 17"x11" rear, from my 1987 Pontiac GTA that I have considered putting on. But it is 5x4.75" which \obviously means using adapters. Not a problem...Already found some, just gotta determine the thickness to order IF I get them. $400 for adapters is cheaper than 4 new wheels & 4 new tires. No heavy hauling or towing & likely won't be any or if there is? Very very little & not often at all. I did a crude Photoshop just to see hoe it would look & I think isn't bad. This 'chop is a bit deceptive because I retained the tires & just 'chopped on the wheels themselves, so the tire height is not a 100% representation of what it would REALLY look like because the actual tire sidewalls would be shorter. And no....I'm not gonna just replace the tires. They are only about 5000 miles old so PLENTY of tread left on them. Yes, poor pic choice to use but it is the only direct side shot pic I have. It is from the online sale ad from where I found the truck.
