Simple fuel filler

I've seen a couple threads with people asking about fuel fillers and wanting suggestions of how to build one for cheap. Here's what we built...

That's one piece of sheetmetal with 2 bends and 1 weld forming the outer "box". Welded a piece of small angle to the part of the box where it contacts the stake pocket and the bedside... drilled and tapped the bed for 1/4" bolts. The access panel allowed us to reach in to attach it to the bed as well as hook up the filler hose, vent and cap. Used a 90 degree piece of exhaust tubing to make the curve to the fuel cell, rubber fuel line goes from the 90 to the fuel cell, and to the cap. Box was sprayed with bedliner material before it was installed.
