Axle Newb question <-------

Ok.. apparently my front and rear axle innerds are junk.. So my mechanic has suggested that I get a posi locker in the back and new ring and pinions and kit for the front.. that's all well and good..but I really don't have the slightest clue what the hell he is talking about.. after a little research its kinda making sense to me but I figured I would have you guys give me some good advice..right now I'm looking at an Eaton rear locker and calling Randy's ring&pinion and asking what I will need for the front....so can/should i get a locker for front?...or get ring/pinion or what... any help is greatly appreciated..
