does my truck have a coil?

As those of you that know me know, I don't know anything about mechanicals, you know?
Anywho, truck is still giving me problems. Right now it's sitting while I hope the gas tank and foam is drying out the last bit of water.
My Dad said his boat acted similarly. Right now mine will run great in the morning, then by 11:00 I'm lucky to make it home. Doesn't make sense, since I have a sump and it should draw the water first. Anyways, he said the problem with his boat when it acted like that was something with the coil. So, do 87s have a coil?
