Strengthening a 1964 C-10 Frame for drag racing / street use
Hi All.
Well I'm getting near the end of my project and installed a big block that should make near 600ft. lbs of torque (est.) My question goes out to a lot of the Fabricators and real life Engineers that dabble in suspension creation or modifying. What is the best way for me to keep my stock frame but re-enforce it so it doesn't get totally twisted? I have a manual transmission and I'd still like to be able to remove it easily. I have the cab off now so I figure now is the time. Does boxing the frame do much to help? Oh, also, this truck will still see street time, not just racing. Alex |
