Final verdict on electric fans?

Hey all,
I have read all the different threads I have found on electric fans with stock 4 core radiators. I've seen to use the Taurus fans, maxima fans, windstar fans, jeep Cherokee fan, even the HHR fan. My question is this: which one of these has actually been used successfully for any length of time. This will be used with a 6.2 ls motor, so not sure if it needs more cooling or not. I have the stock dual electric fans from the donor vehicle, but it will take some work to make it fit. I'm looking for easier but not crazy expensive. Also, can I go with new aftermarket fans? Are they reliable? They are only about 80.00 on eBay for dorman fans. Thanks for the input all!
