Measurment between frame members.
Hey All,
In looking for a new radiator for my 1964 GMC stepside, we couldn't find an OEM radiator to fit. The indicated radiator for the 64 was too wide. I found that the distance between the main frame members of my truck were way smaller then a regular 1964. I am suspisious that the body of my truck might be mounted on an earlier, or later, year frame. Would you please measure the distance between your main frame on any trucks between 1960 thru 1965 for me? I measured in front of the crankshaft pulley on my GMC from inside frame edge to inside frame edge. Thank you. Bill I need to know, as I had planned on installing a 350ci engine/350 Turbo tranny into my PU this winter. BUT, if the frame isn'rtcorrect, I don't want to got there at all! At the moment the PU has a 230ci Inline. |
