65truckowner Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2012 Location: mountain view arkansas Posts: 1,316	drive shaft length I am restoring a 65 chevy swb. I have the short 3 speed transmission in it. I have a driveshaft from another swb but the driveshaft is to short. I have a spare transmission that is the longer 3 speed but I have the one in the truck cleaned and painted with new seals and hate to pull it out. I did not know that there were two different length drive shafts for these short bed trucks.
