There is certainly a reason why the enhanced these trucks and have moved on from the old carb stuff but hey if I'm building a classic why not keep the theme nothin beats the look of a beefy naturally aspirated motor's air cleaner. definitely a plus being able to fix it myself if indeed a breakdown occurs god forbid on a long trip. plus I need something to keep me busy on the weekends when I finally "finish" this truck.

Nope you didnt come off as rude at all! This is your truck and their is a lot of decisions to be made and a lot of info and options to consider! That is why the forum is here to bounce ideas off of and throw opinions out! A lot of great ideas come out on the forum and the builds get pushed to new and exciting levels! And ultimately you have to go with what makes you happy, if no one else likes it, but it fits you, so be it! It's your truck.
