Cheap grill clean-up...
Hey Guys,
I've been meaning to post a few pics of what I have been tinkering with. My '72 has some great patina, but the original grill was looking a little 'plain' (look at the first pic). But it really doesn't take much to totally change the look. As much as I like the '71-72 grill inserts, I like them even better painted black. I just did a rattle can paint job on the grill insert and I'll see how that holds up. I've always liked the look of chrome headlight covers...and a $11 ebay purchase later, I have a pair of covers. Lastly, I really liked the look of my original painted front bumper...but I think that it had gotten bent up at some point. And it was looking a little rough, so I picked up a pretty nice, driver quality, chrome bumper right here on the want ads. I have to admit, I was really surprised how much the chrome bumper cleaned up the front...looks like a new truck! Well, no, not a "new" truck...it looks like a different, even cooler truck! Let me know what you think! Chris |
