So I was bored one day...
I had some stuff lying around the shop and thought I would make a mini 12v compressor with small tank, pressure gauge and regulator.
I used a compressor that was just sitting around and set up and old fire extinguisher as my tank. I had to purchase a few parts, fittings and such. Also sourced a couple more specialty items from Amazon. These were a pressure switch, on at 80psi off at 110psi and a 40amp 12v relay. I welded up a mount and plumbed it up, trying to keep the fittings tidy and and wiring hidden. It turned out pretty well. I just thought it would be cool to have something with a little reserve in case you needed a burst of air. The unit can take off 1 lugnut per cycle with my impact. Not great but it works :0 In the pics you can see the small pressure switch and relay, they were $38 shipping included.
