Re: 71 Turbo 6.0L-LWB**Build Thread**
Update: Completed assembly of the engine, heads, cam, lifters, pushrods & rockers. Cut the flanges off the outlet ends of the stock manifolds and mocked up my clearances around the power steering pump. Using the stock 6.0L front accessories. I Just have to reroute the power steering lines and she will clear by about 1". My Plan is to use 2" sch10 304 Stainless hotpipes from both manifolds to the turbo mounted near the passenger side headlight. I Still need to powder coat the intake manifold and buy a set of good looking valve covers. Ordered a Mcleod RXT clutch and flywheel. It should be here next week then the tranny and engine can be set for mockups and fabrication of the engine mounts.
While waiting for the clutch, I decided to strip the interior. Floor was very solid. I put a new sheetmetal patch where the shifter penetrates the floor. Stripped out the stock fuel tank. I POR15 the floor and install new soundproofing and carpet. Then re-install the bench seat that came with the truck. Before: AFTER
