Gas Filler

I have been kicking the idea around in my head on using the existing fuel filler that is in the cab of my 68 GMC, but piping it from there to a under bed blazer tank. Do you guys know of anyone that has done this or if you think there would be any issues doing this? I was thinking that I could exit out of the back of the cab just below the bed floor and try to keep the pipe at a negative angle pitching back to the tank filler.
