15" rims on a 1/2 ton

As the title says is anyone running 15" steel rims and if so what backspacing are you using to clear the calipers? I just picked up a 2000 Z71 that needs new tires and have a new set of 15" tires off of my 79, so I really don't want to buy another new set of tires when steel wheels are cheap.

Thanks,
Red
