72 C20 Fuel Sending Unit Question

Okay folks help me out here. I have a 72 C20 with AT and a bad fuel sending unit. I ordered one from LMC for the 72 with AT and to my surprise it has two fuel line connections, one is a vent. My original only has one connection.
The person I bought the truck from said that the tank had been replaced. Where was the vent line connected to the these? Should I send this back and get one with the single line?
