Easy way to bypass ignition switch??

So here a few weeks ago when i had the chance to breathe and went to start the truck. She cranked but sounded like it was skipping teeth on the flywheel or something of that nature because it would crank and scratch a bit. I got under and the flywheel i fine. I thought maybe it was the starter so i pulled it off and had it tested. Tested fine so i reinstalled it. Battery was low so i used a jumper pack but it wouldnt crank. Just dead. So i checked my wiring and i had juice. I took the ignition switch out and found a loose purple or pinkish wire that wasnt connected. The plastic that holds it in had wore out. So i stuck it back on the terminal and got the truck to fire. Well here last week i went to move the truck and it was flat dead. It was getting juice. I checked the wire and it was fine. Im thinking my ignition switch has gone out. So i was wanting to see what others thought of the problem and also what would be the easiest was to bypass the ignition switch with some toggle/ push button switches and how would i wire that. Any help or input is appreciated
