GM steering pump question

Long winded ? I know , sorry

As I work on my PS install since I got the right brackets the one question I have is about pumps.

I know the pumps are a little different with the bracket mounting holes on the front under the pulley making the reservoir lean different ways to stand straight when mounted on different motors .

What I was wondering is the reservoirs all mount the same? I picked up 2 pumps from the junk yard off V8s for the single and double pulleys . One pump was right for the mounting holes for the 6 cly brackets but both the reservoirs the return hose fitting loops down toward the bottom hitting the bracket.

The right rebuilt pump with reservoir is out of stock all over but looking at other GM pumps the hoses come out all over the place .

Are all the "canned ham" reservoirs the same and able to mount to the different pump guts ?
That way I can go shopping at the "yard" and just grab a unit with the right return line clearance and pop in the correct rebuilt pump and pulley

Thanks
