Carb/starting question...

Ok, i have a 350 sbc. edelbrock performer intake, performer cam, and edelbrock 600 carb. starts great cold, if you shut it off when warm, it will fire right back up if you do it within 2-3 min. but after being warm, then off for like 5-15minuites, it cranks over allot to get going, like its flooded or something,,, found some info saying that i need a carb spacer? any one have this happen and find the cure? if it is a spacer i need.. what one? thanks!
