Finally had a trouble free cruise in my 72, calling it done for now...
Got my 72 back from the engine builder finally. Motor is all done, no noises. The super 40 flowmasters are way too quiet for my taste, so they are getting swapped out, will post a few videos of sound difference when thats all done. Anyway, got to drive her last night for the first time in a long time, and man does that 496 make power. The street slicks help with traction, but still gets to sliding with a heavy foot. It cruises down the highway like a 350 truck, no noises, no vibrations, 3000 rpms at ~65 mph with the 3.42 gears. I am very happy and it was worth the wait. I took a few pics of when I got it home and changed the tires to pulling it out of the garage to warm up. Enjoy
Looks stock-ish 15x8 Rally Wheels with caps and trim rings 15x10 Rally Wheels plain with street slicks Transformation is starting... Slicks mounted Done, time to start her up and back her out Warming up for a little in town romping
