New Stereo No Sound??

I installed a new after market stereo in my 1992 Chevrolet last night. I've installed a few aftermarket stereo's before and have never had an issue but this time! Oh, this time!!

I uninstalled my factory radio/tape deck/box under the dash that had no sound thinking it was the stereo since they are problematic. I got the new one installed, using a stereo wiring adapter. I soldered and shrink wrapped all splices and after I installed it into the factory radio harness I checked it to make sure the wires matched up. I plug my new radio in and nothing! I get power and can change the tune and volume but I can not hear anything. Not even static. I pulled the wiring back apart and checked to make sure the actual speaker wires matched up with the wiring harness and they do. I used a test light to ensure the speakers were getting power and they are.

Does anyone have ANY suggestions so I can have tunes in my truck?
