Reassembling tilt column, upper nut preload?

Hey guys,

I'm reassembling a '71 auto tilt column. I've got pretty much everything figured out, except I'm not sure how tight I should make the nut that cinches up the upper bearings. Is there a spec? Or do I just tighten it until there is no play in the shaft? Then another turn maybe or something? Really don't know.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Matt
