Painting Parts?

So I am looking at my truck and now that I have it driving I know there are many things I will be taking out and replacing parts over time. What is oging to be my best bet for painting parts?

At some point in the next couple years (maybe sooner) I plan on sending it off to a body shop and painting everything.

In the mean time to I rattle can paint things as I have them off and clean? For example I just did the rear diff cover. Painted it, but what about everything else? Will painting it make more work for the big guys?
