ideal mounting points for upper a-arms

Ok I was thinking about possibly changing my upper a- arm inner mount locations. I am running tubular uppers and my alignment is good. A guess would be to lower them a little since tall ball joints are not available.
Instead of being level like the lowers they are of course are set at different heights. has any analysis been done to determine if a different height is better.
Just thinking as I read about the suspensions.
