BrokeTillDone Registered User Join Date: Apr 2013 Location: Palmdale, CA Posts: 28	3/4 to 1/2 ton? So I have started work on my newly acquired 1961 GMC Truck. It currently has the 8 lug setup. I plan to bag the truck and am looking to "upgrade" the front suspension to a later model also upgrade the brakes. Do I have to look for 3/4 ton specific parts? or will 1/2 ton work?
