Always glad to help a friend! I'd like to see what you're up against? (is this in your build thread?) If only they had know about undercoating back then, but who would have thought to undercoat the area up where you're talking about!

The underside of my roof has crusty rust on it. It's not holed-through in the middle but it IS in a couple small strips in the rain gutter on the passenger side. I've got to cut that out and I'm hoping I don't find I need to replace the entire roof, ala Kabwe (Bam).

I don't know how it got so much rust since there SHOULD HAVE BEEN a headliner up there. But it did sit un-driven and outside from '91 - '10! Regardless, I need to take an aggressive sanding disc to get it all off, Ospho & neutralize it, then KBS it (I guess) so I wasn't planning to add ANYthing that could potentially be a place for moisture to accumulate.
