intake bolts that carb sits on...

I bought a engine pulling plate and some grade 8 bolts.are the bolts in the stock intake studs? Its the stock intake that had a 2 barrel on it.its filthy so its hard to visually see.the bolts look brittle though.

I was gonna drill the plate to line up with the 2 barrel holes however if they are studs what am is the best approach to use this engine pulling plate?

Are these plates safe to use with aluminum intake manifolds??
I figure if the studs are shot ill upgrade to an aluminum intake
