VVT or Not?
So my ongoing saga continues. The harness I had made for the l92 swap did not come with the correct 5 pin plug for the cam sensor/ VVT solenoid. They did not run the extra 2 wires to the location for the VVT solenoid either.
I've been trying to read up on this and very confused. This will be a daily driver in a heavy 1972 suburban. I've heard VVT helps with low end torque/ high end horsepower, and about 10% fuel mileage gain. I know a lot of people run without VVT. -- Should I make them fix the harness (or more than likely me since I already installed it and its a pain to uninstall) for VVT, or is it really not that big of a deal after all? -- If I don't run VVT do I need to do anything special to the engine, or will the solenoid not being hooked up be all that needs to be done? -- Will the tuner be able to delete VVT without throwing error codes all the time? Thanks guys! Shawn Posted via Mobile Device
