Question Brainstorming...Has any one installed Fuel Injection Rails

on a non fuel injection truck? I'm trying to be cheap and figure out a way to install fuel injection on my truck without lots of $$$.
I have an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intack with fuel injection bosses that can be drilled out. I was tryin to see if I could use an LT1 fuel rail and regulator somehow. All it takes is timing the fuel delivery and cylinder compression, right? Could I use the computer somehow? HMMM...... Just brainstorming.
Let me know what you think.
