250 Has spark and fuel but won't fire. points ignition

Ok here's the backstory. Rebuilt it last spring with an HEI. Started and ran fine but I couldn't get rid of the detonation in 4th gear. Had 444 and 60 weights if I remember right. Anyway drove the truck up to the shop and put the points ignition back in to see if that fixed the problem. Set the HEI rotor pointing at #1 spark plug. Installed points in the same position and reinstalled all points related components.

Now it won't fire.
It was just running so I know I have fuel and a spark tester says I have spark. I messed around with my timing and it is correct as is the firing order.

I'm looking for some suggestions.

It just occurred to me that maybe I could have a connection problem in the wire from the condenser to solenoid. Would that cause it to spark but not hot enough to fire?
