Can you tell if this steering gearbox was changed or needs flared fitting adapters?
I just installed a new power steering return line on my '70 K10 steering gearbox because it was leaking at the fitting, to find out it leaks again. Pressure line seemed to be OK. After removing the line it looks like the steering gear may not be set up for the flared fittings like my hoses. It seems like there is a step on the internal brass fittings and not flared. I'm wondering if someone may have changed out this steering gear. I have seen where there are fitting adapters used for later model steering gears. Can you tell by these pictures if that is the case here? I tried to search but came up unsuccessful.
