The good stuff

My Dad bought my 69 new when I was a year old. Shortly after, he was transferred for work and needed to get rid of the truck. My Grand-daddy, his Dad, bought it from him, so it stayed in the family. When I was growing up, it was used and abused on the farm and hauling firewood. I learned to drive in the truck, so naturally, I asked for it when I got my own place. I took it down to the frame and brought it back to life a few years back, and have enjoyed it; now sharing it with my own kids.
Yesterday was my son's 16th. I gave him my old 2001 GMC for his first truck. My 91 year old Grand-daddy was able to come up for the get-together. It was a beautiful day, so we had to take the 69 out for a few miles. Here are some pics from the fun, including my son's "maiden voyage" in the '01. Hope you like them, and maybe they will make some of you smile.

Thanks.
