Rear End

Hey y'all ... I am dripping out of my rear end. Being new to these trucks as well as wrenching in general, how do I fix this problem? Remove that cover and put a new gasket in? How do I determine what rear end I have? I see that it could be a GM 10-bolt or Dana. Are there other possibilities?
