Panel alignment issues

So i found that my radiator mounts were never reallynpresent. Today and replaced them with some new ones. I think i opened up a can of worms. As soon as i got the new mounts in the gap between my doors at the top closed up. I tried tlooseningnup all the bolts but that made it worse. I knew that there was goingnto be some movement because i was going add about 1/4" to the front. But it moved alot. It he pictures are the before mounts and before and after of the gap.

The easy solution would be to cut the rubber mount in half. How thick is it suppose to be? Other than that iam i going to have to take the entire thing apart to realighn?
