Re: Project Grande Slam: Coley's Hot Rod Shop
Here is a picture of the exhaust from yesterday. Dad and I have fixed the rockers where the rain drops got into the clear .. it looks a lot better. We sanded the clear back off with 1000 grit, super slick and re-based / clear. Then 3000 grit to purposely knock the shine off of it and I hand rubbed the clear with rubbing compound .. just to add some age to it. It now looks like the rest of the paint on the truck. Im confident to say someone who didnt know the rockers had been painted recently wouldn't ever see it.
The exhaust comes right off the head pipe then over to the outside of the rail. the bends in the intermediate pipe follow the contour under the cab then the Magnaflows sit in the little pocket right behind the cab / in front of the rear tire.. then over the axle and down. Standing beside the truck you cannot see the exhaust anywhere. If the bed floor was moved you could lay frame with this setup. .. that extra rod off the hanger has been cut off We're putting the interior back together now but it is raining here today. I can't really get it out for pictures. .. almost finished!
