Cooling Fan question

Hello all,

I have a 1970 Chevy C20 that I am slowly restoring. I would like to install a thermostatic fan clutch in place of the flex blade fan. The engine is a 350.

My question is, will I need an engine fan-to-water pump spacer with a fan clutch to position the fan in the shroud correctly?

Currently, there is a approx. 2.5 inch spacer on the flex fan in my truck.

I am planning on ordering a 6 blade fan and standard duty thermostatic fan clutch.

Any photos would be great.

Thanks in advance!!!
