What is this??
Hey guys, I feel a bit dumb asking this, but on my '69 there is a small (1"x2") silver box beside the fuse panel, mounted to the firewall under the dash. A 3-wire plug comes from the fuse panel and connects to it. What is this component, and what is it's purpose?
The reason I ask is I'm trying to track down a battery drain issue (1 amp drain with ignition off), and as soon as I connect the battery, I can hear this box "click". Is it a relay? If I leave the battery connected the box becomes quite hot. Sorry I don't have a picture of it handy, otherwise I'd include it. I'm sure you'll know what I'm referring to. Thanks in advance!
