Exclamation EEeeek, it's a Rochester 2SE

I am having a great time (supposed to be dripping with sarcasm) dealing with this carb. I got an 82 custom deluxe with a 250 six shooter. has a Rochester varijet 2se carb on it, and I can't seem to find what the problem is. I can start the truck and it idles fine, and even revs up fine while not in gear. When I go to drive it though, I have to ease into it or it chokes down. Once I get up to around 35 or 40 MPH, it starts to hucka-buck like crazy and sometimes dies. If it doesn't die, and I manage to get stopped, it will drive again if I ease into it. the truck has an EFI distributor and the EGR has a delete plate installed. New inline fuel filter installed and I removed the filter in the carburetor as suggested by a post I saw on this site in another section. Is there a direct replacement carb I could look for, or do I just need to put my soul up for bids on ebay to get this problem fixed?

Thanks,
Jason
