Brothers QC issues

I have been using ECE (Stan) for most of my resto/hotrod frame-off rebuild of my '72. But, I needed a pair of UCA and I wanted to also upgrade my front end. ECE had provided all of the new Moog inner/outer stuff etc, but I liked the idea of a stiffer more rigid (that's what she said) tie rod adjusting sleeve. The nuts provided would thread onto the tie rods but there is no way I could get the sleeve started, no matter which tie rod I used. I know there is left and right hand threads and I checked them closely. To make matters worse, the alignment shop couldn't get the sleeves started either.

So, I'm out extra $ for the alignment and the UCA arms were clearly underdesigned so I welded 2 stiffeners to each one.

Has anyone else had a problem with the quality of parts from Brothers?
