coolant bypass hose from water pump 454v8
My brother was driving his 87 445v8 the other day 300 miles to my house and the bypass hose off the water pump blew. well he replaced the hose and on his way home he noticed it was running kinda hot when he pulled the hills so he pulled over and discovered the new bypass hose was collapsing.
Is this air in system, or a bad hose he got from the auto store? What could cause this. best way to get air out of system?
