350 wont crank

I left town for the weekend and when I tried to crank up my 76 k10, nothing happened. It was running last week not sure what happened. I put the battery on the charger and it now reads 12.95 so Its holding a charge. When I turn the key, literally nothing happens. The brake light goes on on the dash even when I have the pedal depressed. I don't think it is recognizing the pedal being depressed. But on the other hand I don't know if it needs to be depressed to start. I always press the pedal before I start it. Any suggestions?
