I would convert your original dash to an A/C dash by adding the stock vents.
Hart Rod recenly cut his '68 dash to add vents.

The Dropmember will definitely need the high hump trans cover.
High humps are easy.
Use the hump cover itself for the template.
I use "nut certs" to make the threaded connection in the floor.
Others have welded nuts to the bottom of the floorpan.

Then you can use stock oem style carpet as well.
Much easier than a custom trans tunnel.
