67-72 - Side Window Will Not Roll Down

All,

Looking for a little advice here, and hoping somebody may have ran accross the same trouble as I. I have searched the web quite extensively and havent gotten anywhere.

I have a 68 Chevy that has been setting for years. The right window will only roll down 2" at the most. This is with me manually pushing and shaking on the window itself, trying to coach it down. I have removed the inner door pannel, soaked the back of the regulator, the gear, rollers, etc w/ PB blaster to no avail. I have put about all the force on the regulator arm/crank as I am comfortable w/ as in my expererience it feels like the regulator is about to break. I feel I need to get the window out and replace the regulator, but Im not quite sure how I can do that w/out first getting the window all the way down and the vent window removed. To me it feels like the the regulator cranking mechanism itself is bound up.

I would greatly appreciate any help or insight as I am not quite sure how to proceed. I apologize if I have overlooked an existing post that addresses my issue.

THANKS
ANDY
